Perfectly balanced, fragrant, and dusted with powdered sugar, it is an iconic masterpiece of Italian baking.

Ingredients

• Crust: Premium unbleached wheat flour, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, fresh whole eggs, lemon zest.
• Filling: Whole milk ricotta cheese, cooked wheat berries (grano cotto), sugar, fresh eggs, candied orange and citron peel, pure orange blossom water, cinnamon, vanilla bean paste.

Storage & Serving Instructions

• Pastiera Napoletana is unique because its flavors deepen and mature over time.
• Upon Arrival: Store in the refrigerator if not consuming immediately. It keeps beautifully for up to 5–7 days.
• To Serve (Traditional Method): For the most authentic flavor profile, bring the Pastiera to room temperature about 1 hour before serving. Dust lightly with fresh powdered sugar (included) right before slicing.
• Warming Instructions (Optional): If you prefer a subtly warm dessert, slice the desired portions and place them on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 150°C (300°F) for 5 to 8 minutes just until slightly warm to the touch. Do not overheat, as this will dry out the creamy ricotta and wheat interior. Pairs beautifully with an espresso from a Moka pot or a small glass of chilled Limoncello.
